It’s amazing to me how caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies. This is often the transformation we come about in Christ. We start out as ugly, purposeless beings however once we accept Jesus and become saved we transform into a New Creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Lord is our source of purpose. If we don’t have God in our life, what is there to look forward to or work towards? No matter what we do in life we will constantly be unsatisfied until he is at the Center. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it weren’t for Christ. I got where I am today by the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and direction. He has been leading my steps since day one and I would be a helpless mess if he weren’t in my life (Psalms 37:23-25). John 15:5 states that without God we’re powerless. We NEED God for everything. If it came down to it and I had absolutely nothing: no money, no materialistic things, etc. I would be sustained by God alone. Once we activate the presence of God in our spirit man, he begins the sanctification process. The goal of sanctification is to eventually look and act so much like Jesus that people can encounter Jesus through you and know his nature (Colossians 3:5). In fact, Galatians 2:20 states that we no longer live but it is Christ within us that lives through us. We are in union as one being, this is what enables us to do the works of the spirit referenced in Matthew 10:8. Matthew 10:6-7 TPT states “Go instead and find the lost sheep among the people of Israel. And as you go, preach this message: ‘Heavens kingdom realm is accessible, close enough to touch.'” I believe what the Lord meant by this statement was that we’re a representation of that kingdom realm that is accessible. We can touch others and they can receive healing, deliverance, and be raised from the dead. They can have an Encounter with the Living God by coming into contact with us. The Lord wants to consume us with his Love for his people and treat others the way Jesus did while he was on earth. We’re his outlet to other people just as Jesus was. All you have to do is willingly surrender your life to him, trust him and fly.
